Halifax Duck Derby

Race Date: Saturday, September 20, 2008
Location: The Halifax Harbour in front of Bishop's Landing
City, State: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Spotlight

The event concept is simple!  People adopt a duck at $5.00 (or a flock of 5 ducks for $20) or VID Ducks at $50.00 for 10 ducks.  The Society leases the racing ducks and each one is tagged with an ID number. A unique feature, that adds excitement to this event is the Million Dollar Duck.  The odds of winning are 1:3,333, which means that someone can potentially win a one million dollar annuity! Adopt a duck and support the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.

We hope to have your involvement in this important charity event this year! We are looking for volunteers to help us with our duck tagging party on Friday September 19th as well as for the day-of activities at the event on Saturday September 20th. To volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Michele Charlton at 902-422-7961 (241) or volunteer@alzheimer.ns.ca

Hope to see you there!
