Our Story:

After facing the heartbreaking reality of complications from PPROM, our son Roman was born sleeping on October 19, 2023. His tiny heart stopped during delivery just before birth. His loss is incomprehensible and life-altering, the ache of his absence is a burden we carry each day.

As we began to navigate life after losing Roman, Kindermourn has become a light in some of our darkest days, guiding us through this storm with unwavering support and compassion. They are committed to providing help and healing for bereaved parents and children and do so regardless of your ability to pay – offering a sliding scale for individual counseling and free support groups.

For us, honoring Roman’s memory by supporting Kindermourn is deeply meaningful. By extending a helping hand to others who are or will walk the same path of grief, we find some purpose in our pain. Your generosity will not only honor Roman’s legacy, but also provide vital resources and support to those navigating some of their darkest days.

KinderMourn provides hope for bereaved parents, grieving children, and teens by offering support and counseling programs, creating awareness of bereavement issues, and empowering the community to effectively assist those who have suffered an unthinkable loss.

By adopting ducks, you help children, adults, and families in our community navigate the maze of loss and bereavement. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many.

What Your Ducks Can Do:

A Six Quack (6) - $30

Provides a week's worth of snacks and drinks, offered to all children and teens who visit the KinderMourn home for counseling

The Lucky Dozen (13) - $65

Provides one counseling session for a newly bereaved parent grieving the loss of a child at any age or from any cause

The Whole Raft (20) - $100

Provides one counseling group session with professional KinderMourn counselors for teens grieving the loss of a loved one

Super Flock (50) - $250

Provides counseling with KinderMourn clinical staff to school communities, employers, churches, etc. after a tragic or unexpected death
