Adam's Army

Our son, Adam Lee, was born on December 5th, 2006. He was a perfect 7lb 10oz baby boy. We were so in love. We spent two wonderful days with him until he suddenly passed away on December 7th. After months of testing at the Mayo Clinic, it was discovered he had MCAD deficiency. It's a rare inherited metabolic condition that can affect the liver and heart. It's often screened at birth, but unfortunately he passed away before the newborn screening. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't think of him.

After genetic counseling and lots of prayers, we welcomed a sweet little girl in 2010 who shares his middle name. We know he is our guardian angel watching over us every day. We are grateful to get to honor him at the Hope Floats Duck Race.

Thank you for letting us share our story and for supporting our family. ❤
