Hi my name is Nori Barnes and I have been an Athlete and Global Messenger with Special Olympics Illinois since 2016. I compete in multiple sports including but not limited to Track, Bocce, Basketball, Softball, Golf Skills, Volleyball, Snowshoe, Bowling and more. Special Olympics has granted me the opportunity to make friends learn skills and reach milestones I hadn't been able to learn before. Special Olympics has improved my life by leaps and bounds. We are selling Ducks again this year by buying a duck or souvenir you are making it possible for myself and others to continue participating in sports, learning skills, making friends, and becoming the best advocates we can be. the Chicago Ducky Derby is right around the corner!! This year's race will be held on Thursday, August 10th in Chicago. Each duck adopted helps support more than 23,000 athletes and over 17,000 Young Athletes participate, at no cost, in Special Olympics Illinois programs.
