Who does the Junior League of Savannah Duck Pluck benefit?

All proceeds from the Junior League of Savannah Duck Pluck will benefit the Junior League of Savannah.

How does it work?

We will be holding a virtual race this year due to COVID-19. Winners will be selected via a random number generator. We will hold a live event on Facebook and potentially other live streams to announce the winners.

What is my tag number?

Tag numbers are automatically and randomly assigned by computer. We want to make sure that no duck has an unfair advantage and the race is not fixed, so to ensure the integrity of the pluck, tag numbers are never given out. Rest assured, however, that all of the ducks you have adopted will be in the pluck.

What if you have 4,000 Adopted Ducks but you have 5,000 Tagged Ducks on Duck Pluck Day?

This year's race is virtual and the winner will be selected at random from that ducks that have been adopted.

When and where is the Junior League of Savannah Duck Pluck and what does it cost?

The Junior League of Savannah Duck Pluck will take place on March 27, 2021 at 12:00pm and will be virtual this year. A minimum of 5,000 ducks will be in the duck pluck.

How will I know if my duck wins?

The winning ducks will be announced during the live stream. The Junior League of Savannah will contact you using the information you provided with your duck adoption. You do not need to be present to win.

Are they real ducks or rubber ducks?

Rubber ducks, silly! But this year the ducks are virtual.

Who can adopt a duck?

Anyone! However, you must be at least 18 years old to adopt a duck.

Once I adopt a duck, do I get to keep it?

No. After you adopt your duck, the Junior League of Savannah Duck Pluck team will work hard to train, coach, and make sure each one is ready for Duck Pluck day. After the race, all of the ducks will fly off to their next race somewhere in the US.

Do I need to be present to win?

No, the winner does not need to be present to win. We do hope you will join us for the festivities though!

Can I adopt ducks on race day?

If all our 5,000 ducks have not been adopted as of Friday, March 26, 2021, the remaining ducks will be available for adoption on pluck day until one hour prior to the start of the pluck online during the Junior League of Savannah Duck Pluck.
