Hi, friends! I work with AFA, an amazing music education organization, as one of their 100+ Faculty Artists. As Houston's largest independent nonprofit provider of music education programs for kids, AFA impacts 2,000+ kids from 21 school districts and 158 schools across the city each year. On Saturday, November 2 at 10am, AFA is hosting its fifth annual Bayou City Duck Race on Buffalo Bayou at Allen's Landing Park. AFA will launch 5,000+ rubber ducks into the bayou that will race to the finish line. Don't worry...none of the ducks are left treading in the water. The top 10 ducks to finish will win a prize like $2,500, Raising Cane's chicken for a year, performing arts tickets, and restaurant gift cards.
You can help our team of Faculty Artists by adopting a single duck, a quack pack, a flock of ducks or more to support AFA. You don't have to be present to win, but you won't want to miss seeing the ducks dumped off the bridge or hearing performances from AFA students and friends. The best part is that all proceeds benefit AFA's Play It Forward Fund which helped 88% of its students attend their programs last season. Your support will have an impact!
