Hello!
My name is Samantha Sims, Chief Development Officer for Journey to Dream, a local non-profit in Lewisville, TX, with a residential campus for at-risk, hurting, and displaced unaccompanied minors called Kyle's Place. Our teens are ages 14-19 and have been counted out, some have been victimized and even silenced. Our mission is to empower, equip, and embrace these young men and women, giving them the tools and support needed to overcome adversity and live purposeful lives. This includes providing them with a safe place to live, counseling, medical, dental, nutritious meals, clothing, education, college opportunities, job skills, and anything else they need to help them build brighter futures.
The Cross Timbers Rotary is back with their annual Duck Derby. It's being held on September 16th at the Riverwalk in Flower Mound, TX. All proceeds help serve the community and support numerous local non-profits.
Please consider adopting a duckling or a batch. You will have a chance to win various prizes, including a $2,500 Visa Gift Card; while supporting worthy non-profits. You do not have to be present. Just $5 is all you need to get involved. Please help me hit my goal of having 1500 ducklings adopted and support our teens at Kyle's Place.
