Children R Our Future of Volusia County, Inc. is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to assist children and families in Volusia and Flagler Counties that face the challenges of a severe medical condition or that have been through a life changing tragedy. Founded in 2016, Children R Our Future was born from the passion of Constance Jones (affectionately known as “Mama C” to many in the community) to continue to assist children in her community after her retirement from the Florida Department of Children and Families where she worked as a social worker and senior secretary. In order to pass through as much assistance to these families as possible, our organization runs solely on the pure-hearted efforts of volunteers from the community and operates with very little overhead, that being only for the minimal operational costs associated with marketing and events. The year 2022 brings a large goal to the forefront of the priorities of our organization. We have started the process to build an all-inclusive playground within Volusia County. Our vision is to have a place where children of all abilities can come together and play side by side. We have started the fundraising process, initiated meetings with the appropriate personnel within the county, and found a playground company with which to work. We are also working on polling local families and creating an Advisory Board to make sure that what we build fits the needs/desires of the community it will serve. What we need now are companies and individuals interested in supporting our mission.
