I’ve been part of the Special Olympics movement since 2014, when I began my career at Special Olympics Florida in Miami. Since joining Special Olympics Illinois in 2022, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most inspiring athletes you’ll ever meet—and they’ve truly changed my life.

Now, I’m inviting you to join me in supporting these incredible individuals by “adopting” a duck (or a whole flock!) for the 2025 Chicago Ducky Derby. Every duck you adopt helps us reach our goal of 80,000 adoptions and supports over 18,000 athletes who participate in Special Olympics Illinois programs at no cost to them or their families.

Event Details

Race Day: Thursday, August 7, 2025

Festival Starts: 10:00 AM at Pioneer Court (401 N Michigan Ave)

Splashdown: Around 1:00 PM from the Columbus Drive Bridge

• Quack Pack (6 Ducks) = $30
• Quacker’s Dozen (12 Ducks) = $60
• Flock of Ducks (24 Ducks) = $120
• Diamond Duck Pack (240 Ducks) = $1,200
