I'm Gabby Grieco, a proud staff member at Special Olympics Illinois and the event lead for the 2025 Chicago Ducky Derby. This event is more than just a fun day on the river - it’s deeply personal to me. I’ve been involved with Special Olympics since high school, and raising money to support this incredible community has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.
On August 7, thousands of rubber ducks will splash down from the Columbus Drive bridge and race down the Chicago River and I’m hoping you'll be part of it! My goal is to help us reach more than 75,000 adopted ducks before race day, and every single adoption supports more than 29,000 amazing athletes, Young Athletes, Unified Partners, and Peer Partners across Illinois.
