Welcome to my page! My name is Sophia and I am part of the Darling Ducklings team!
I have been competing in Special Olympics sports since 2017! The sports that I participate in are: Bowling, Bocci, Track, Basketball and Softball. I also joined the Athlete Leadership program this year and have been working on developing leadership skills and attending local LETR events!
My favorite thing about Special Olympics is that I am able to do things I never thought I would do! My mom says that my confidence has grown so much and that being a Special Olympics Athlete taught me that with a little courage, I can do anything I want! My Special Olympics teams are like family to me. I have met so many great people and love making new friends!
Joining the Darling Ducklings team is another way for me to give back to this organization that has had a huge impact on my life. I am selling tickets to adopt ducks for the 2025 Chicago Ducky Derby which benefits Special Olympics of Illinois' community of 29,000 athletes!
