Hello, everyone. My name is Eric Baumann. I am from region K in the small southern town of Vienna. I am a Special Olympics IL athlete and I compete in 9-10 sports. By participating in sports with Special Olympics, I have learned skills and grown into a leader in multiple roles in my life. I am an athlete leader in SOILL and am also on the Athlete Leadership council to get feedback from other athletes about certain topics to help make the program better. I have become better with public speaking, learned to be approachable and continue to gain skills that allow me to be confident in myself and my abilities. I have met many amazing people who push me to keep learning and growing in my sports and in my daily life. I'm thankful for the opportunities Special Olympics has given me.
