Hello! My name is Zeke Endicott. I am a part of the Big Muddy Crew. I am 15 years old from Sesser, IL., and a sophomore in high school. This is my first year in the Special Olympics, and already I have done so much! I have participated in power lifting, swimming, and track and field. I never thought I could do these sports. Thanks to the help of the Special Olympics, and their amazing coaches and support teams, I not only played, but thrived! I love being a part of the Special Olympics, and seeing everyone do their very best. There were times I even surprised myself!
I competed in swimming at the regional Olympics. I swam the backstroke, and was a part of a 4x 25M medley relay. I received a gold medal in my individual swim with a faster swim time than I have been achieving in practice! Also, my team and I received a gold medal in our medley too!
I also compete in power lifting at regional Olympics. I received gold medals in my division for bench, dead lift, and bench/dead lift combo. I chose to compete in power lifting in the summer games in Normal, IL where I placed gold in my division, and hit a new personal best in my dead lift!
I have had so much fun meeting new friends, and cheering for them too! There are so many opportunities in the Special Olympics that allow us to show just how brave and strong we are. I’m excited to start bowling soon. I have achieved so much in such a short time, I cannot wait to see what I can do next!
I’m selling ducks, because I believe in this organization! Never have I ever felt so accomplished, and encouraged to do my best! I am so grateful to all my coaches and support team that push me to do my best. It’s really the heart of the people in this organization that makes it what it is. I am asking that you partner with us to help support the Special Olympics, and continue to help give opportunities to me and my friends!
