As a member of Topeka Heartland Sertoma my team, "Press Your Duck," has set a goal to sell 50 ducks. Why are we selling 50 ducks?
BECAUSE, ALL of the proceeds from the 28th Annual Sertoma Great Topeka Duck Race - held September 16, 2023, at Lake Shawnee in Topeka - support local charities like Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Capper Foundation, just to name a few.
If you have never participated in the Great Topeka Duck Race, on race day, 10,000 rubber ducks drop into the lake and race to the finish line for a chance to win 1 of 9 prizes (you need not be present to win.)
Even if you aren't one of the lucky winners, you have to admit it feels good knowing you helped a senior member of the Topeka community receive a hearing aid they couldn't afford on their own or helped a youth connect with a mentor.
