Snack Pak 4 Kids San Antonio
Snack Pak 4 Kids SA was born from a simple yet powerful mission: to improve educational outcomes by banishing weekend hunger among school children.
Every Friday, teachers discreetly place Snack Pak bags filled with brand-name, kid-approved food items into the backpacks of students identified by their teachers as food insecure. There is no fanfare and no public distributions — just quiet support delivered with dignity and respect.
In San Antonio, the organization collaborates with local churches, civic organizations, businesses, and volunteers to collectively serve over 4000 students in need across 54 schools in five school districts in Bexar County.
The impact is clear. After receiving Snack Paks, over 75% of teachers report improvements in their students’ health, concentration, confidence, sense of belonging, mood, and overall temperament demonstrating the powerful connection between food security and success in the classroom.
