What time is the Duck Race?

All kinds of family fun will start at 12:00 p.m. at Ethel Lee Tracy Park in Victoria, Texas. The ducks will start racing at approximately 2:00p.m. The first 10 ducks through the finish line will receive a prize.

How do I Adopt a Duck?

Online: Adopt online by visiting the website at www.VictoriaDuckSafari.com.

Adoption papers: Available at any of our adoption sites, at Victoria Duck Safari Headquarters, or through a board member. Please see list of official adoption sites on our website.


How do I Support a Participating non-profit?

When adopting your ducks, either online or with an adoption paper, you can select the nonprofit through the Buck-A-Duck Program that you wish to support. Please see the list of participating teams on our website. For each duck adopted through a participating team, that organization receives $1 out of the net proceeds.


Where can I drop off a completed adoption certificate if it’s too late to mail it or I want to return it in person?

How do I pay for my duck adoption if I use adoption papers?

We accept cash, checks or credit card (VISA, Mastercard, AmEx, and Discover). Checks should be made payable to Victoria Symphony.


Is the Ducky Safari still happening due to the current COVID-19 crisis?
Yes, we plan to proceed with the Victoria Duck Safari. Should we need to deter race-day gatherings, the race will be available via live feed on our Facebook page.


Will you be racing the ducks in the pond at Ethel Lee Tracy Park on November 6th?

The Duck Deployment Team will be launching the ducks in the pond at Ethel Lee Tracy Park. We will host a virtual event on our social pages for our supporters. All donors that leave an email address with their duck adoption will be notified via email regarding any changes in the event. If there is a major flood event, monitor our social media pages and website for race day changes.

What time will the winners be picked?

The ducks begin their race at 2:00 PM. Depending on the flow of the pond, the ducks should make their way to the finish line within 20 minutes.

How will I know if my duck wins?
The Victoria Duck Safari will contact you using the information you provided with your duck adoption.

Can I adopt a duck for my child?
Yes, but prizes cannot be awarded to a minor. A parent or guardian can accept the prize on behalf of a minor.

Are they real ducks or rubber ducks?
Rubber ducks, silly!

What happens to all the ducks after the race?

The ducks are rescued out of the pond by volunteers, cleaned off and sent on their journey for their next race. All ducks must remain in possession of the volunteers for the Victoria Duck Safari.

Once I adopt a duck, do I get to keep it?
No, your adopted duck will race for your chance to win fabulous prizes. You will not be able to keep the duck after the race.

Do I need to be present to win?
No, you can win from home!

Is there an admission fee for the Duck Safari?
No. It is free to watch the Victoria Duck Safari; however, the cost to adopt a duck is $5.00.

How much do ducks cost?
Single duck: $5.00
Quack Pack (6 ducks for the price of 5): $25.00
Flock of Ducks (Get 25 ducks in the race for the price of 20) $100.00


Can I adopt ducks on race day?
Yes, online adoptions will open the morning of the race until approximately 12:00pm or sooner if all of the available ducks are already adopted. Adoption papers must be delivered to the Victoria Duck Safari Headquarters no later than 5pm on the day prior to the race.
