CISNT - Quacking for Kids
The mission of Communities In Schools of North Texas is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Communities In Schools of North Texas (CISNT) is a community-based, community-supported nonprofit organization. For 30 years, CISNT has been a trusted provider of school-based programs which equip students with the tools and resources to overcome challenges to success in their education.

Across North Texas, 1 in 2 students are at-risk of dropping out of school. Often, these students just need a helping hand or a caring adult to walk alongside them, providing support to help them improve in their academics, their behavior, and their attendance. Working directly inside schools across our service region, we connect students to caring adults and community resources that help them overcome the barriers that stand between them and a brighter future.

With a full-time CIS Site Coordinator on each campus that we serve, CISNT works in partnership with school administration and staff to design intentional services which address any barrier to a student’s success in school and in life. Our school–based programs are built upon the belief that transformative relationships are the key to unlocking a student's potential. From immediate needs like food or clothing to more complex ones like counseling or emotional support, we do whatever it takes to surround our students with a community of support, and help them stay in school and achieve in life!
